2009 Confirmation Family Retreat

The 2009 Confirmation Class Family Retreat will be January 23-25, 2009 at Pine Cove.  If you are an 8th grade parent, please mark your calendars now and plan to attend this amazing retreat with your family.

2009 Middle School and High School Spring Retreat will be February 27-March 1, 2009.  You can register and pay online by clicking here. 
 
2009 Mission Trip

Dates are set!!  The 2009 Mission Trip for Middle School and High School will be June 15-21, and the potluck will be after the 11am service on the 21st.  Mark your calendars now and plan your time off early so that you can go on this amazing trip with your students.

 
Camp Impact 2009

The 2009 Camp Impact is scheduled for August 6-9, at the Collin County Adventure Camp.  Save these dates and be watching for early registration. 

 
Middle School Weekly Stuff
 
UMYF
We will meet from 6:45-8pm every Sunday evening in Youth Commons. Bring a friend and get ready for some fun, fun, fun!  Don't forget to eat before you come.  If you have questions, please direct them to the youth department at thughes@standrewumc.org  Remember the 1st Sunday each month is a fun night off campus.  On that 1st Sunday the times are 6:30-9:00 and you need to bring $15. Don't forget to eat dinner before you come.
 
Covenant Groups
THIS is where discipleship takes place. Covenant groups commit to meeting weekly usually with an adult leader and include sharing, bible, prayer, accountability, and vulnerablity. Contact Stacy if you are interested in leading or getting in one.
 
Salt and Light Youth Choir

Salt and Light is for students in 6th-12th grade. ALL youth choir members will sing in worship twice a month, participate in the Valentine shows, "From St. Andrew with Love" and finish off the year with an incredible U.S. summer tour that involves mission opportunities and concerts. Want to become a part of the excitement? New members are always welcome!  Contact Chris at ccrook@standrewumc.org.  Below is the 2008-2009 Salt and Light Schedule of Events:

Sept. 21 - Rehearsals Begin

October 5 - First time to sing in worship this semester

October 26 - Choirsters Guild Youth Choir Festival at St. Andrew

November 30 - Hanging of the Green Advent Worship service (7:30pm)

December 24 - Sing for 6pm Christmas Eve Worship

January 11 - Rehearsals resume

February 8 - From St. Andrew with Love shows (4:00 and 5:30 pm)

April 9 - Maundy Thursday worship at 7pm

April 12 - Sing for 8am Easter worship in Wesley Hall

June 24-July 1 - Tour
